As London eases out of lockdown, the much anticipated reopening of restaurants and bars across the City is set to kick-off on the weekend of July 4th. With a range of new social distancing and safety measures set in place across venues, we’ve compiled a list of the top City bars and eateries welcoming guests back for the first time since lockdown. You can find what measures each business is taking to comply with safety regulations via their respective websites. Here’s to a rousing (and safe) reopening weekend ahead.

Jin Bo Law

Boasting some of the best views of the City from its outdoor terrace, Jin Bo Law Skybar is gearing up for a lofty reopening celebration from the 4th of July with a daily line-up of live DJ sets to kick start reopening week on a major upbeat note. You can get your drink on in (socially distant) style with the unveiling of a new cocktail menu, featuring concoctions by the likes of the Butterfly Punch, Pickled Tink and Rougui Bjor. Be advised that booking in advance is recommended to accommodate set limits on entry numbers.

Barbie Green

Eating out near the Barbican got a lot better with the recent addition of Barbie Green to the City’s foodie scene. It’s the bright new outpost of the Daisy Green restaurants at London Wall Place, popular for their fresh and healthy Aussie inspired menus. Bookings for their epic brunches – with free flowing prosecco and plenty of avo on toast to go around – are now live for their grand reopening scheduled for 6th  July.

Madison

Perched atop One New Change (which reopened to shoppers on 15th June) City hot spot Madison is gearing up for the return of brunchers and lunchers on 4th July with a reservation system going live from the 1st. All the better so that you can focus on enjoying the amazing grub and scenic views without having to wait in pesky queues. With limited opening hours and new seating charts that accommodate social distancing rules, you can rest assured that the team here are taking the safe approach whilst welcoming returning guests.

Vinoteca

While they kept us supplied with a superb selection of reds, whites and roses thanks to their Wine Shop delivery service during lockdown – Vinoteca is set to reopen all of their London locations including their spacious restaurant at the Bloomberg Arcade from the 6th of July. Expect a warm welcome back as you tuck into their signature scrummy nibbles paired with a choice from over 200 bottles of wine, sourced from around the world.

Waka

When you have a craving for authentic (and wallet friendly) Asian to-go food, Waka, the Japanese Peruvian fusion foodie spot is a winning choice for some of the best Donburi and Maki you’ll taste this side of the City. Located just a few steps from The Gherkin, and conveniently open for takeaway only, it’s the perfect spot for lunch to-go on a sunny day out.
