You’re probably preparing for the jolly weekend when you can eat turkey, trimmings and pudding to your heart’s content but before you settle into the holiday daze, take a moment to plan your New Year’s Eve!

We’ve scoured the Square Mile to bring you the best NYE events, from quirky to crazy to down-right luxurious…

Be a badass motherf**ker
It wouldn’t be Shoreditch, if there wasn’t a movie tribute NYE somewhere. Indulge in your favourite Tarantino tunes, as the Beekays play the soundtrack from the films throughout the night. The Blues Kitchen promises to dedicate the party to the “vampire slaying, Nazi-killing, kung fu fighting, bad ass motherf**kers.” Bargain ticket price!

Where: Blues Kitchen, EC2A 3AR
Time: 7PM – 3AM
Price: £25

Don a mask and pretend you’re in New Orleans
NOLA is taking the party across the pond this NYE, with a masquerade bash influenced by New Orleans. There’ll be a jazz band to keep you dancing all night long and albeit pricey, the package is all-inclusive, so you can focus on having fun (and getting the most out of the open bar…)!

Where: NOLA @ The Courthouse Hotel, EC1V 9LL
Time: 9PM – 3AM
Price: £125

New York, New York
Sometimes, simple is better. Smack in the middle of the city, right by the river Thames, this party will have a classy atmosphere to match the Big Apple. Live music, scrumptious goodies to munch on and a decent price.

Where: The Oyster Shed
Time: 8.30PM – 2Am
Price: £30

Dine, drink, dance
Slightly further out than we would normally venture but still worth a mention! This event is a truly decadent experience. Sip bubbly and spoil yourself with a three-course meal cooked by a special guest chef. Open until the very early hours, so you can keep partying long after most have gone to bed (and isn’t that the right way to do it?).

Where: The Dead Dolls House, N1 1RQ
Time: 7PM – 7AM
Price: £30 / £80
