Make: a Semiotic Martini cocktail from Savage Garden

Miss sipping cocktails on the rooftops while gazing down at the epic City skylines? Yeah, us too. Thankfully Savage Garden have put together a recipe for their delicious Semiotic Martini to make at home – if you look out of an open window while drinking it, you won’t even know the difference.

You’ll need:

25ml Crystal Head Vodka

20ml Walnut Vermouth

15ml Pampelle

5ml Seedlip Grove

Simply put all the ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake for around 10 seconds. Double strain into a glass (martini preferable) and top up with champagne or prosecco. Finish with pineapple & champagne foam, and garnish with lemon zest.

Listen: to Brahms Symphony No 1 from the LSO Archives

Even when the London Symphony Orchestra are no longer able to perform around the world in their favourite venues and institutions, they’re keeping the music coming through their YouTube channel (from the archives). This Thursday, tune in at 7.30pm for Brahms Symphony No 1, conducted by Valery Gergiev with Janine Jansen on first violin.

But by using creative cinematography techniques and breaking down stereotypes, filmmakers can do a whole lot more.
