Steven Eastwood: Island

Join director Steven Eastwood for a screening of his film, Island, filmed over 12 months on the Isle of Wight.  The story follows four individuals during the last year in which their lives will end.  End of life experiences like the progression of illnesses and the shifting of relationships are portrayed in a way rarely seen before in film. As some accept impending death, and others contend with a community in shock. The quite observations of bedside care, the rhythm of breathing and close-up views of microscopic biopsies make for a sombre meditation on life and death.
